Digital Archiving

IJPR deposits all published content in Portico, a not-for-profit digital preservation service and one of the largest community-supported digital archives in the world. Working with libraries and publishers, Portico preserves e-journals, e-books, and other electronic scholarly content so that researchers and students retain access to it in the future. Published articles remain digitally available at no cost under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license.

Portico's content is preserved as an archival version and is not publicly accessible through Portico directly — it is provided only under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the journal's collection or a catastrophic failure of the website.

Responsibilities of the Journal

To ensure there is no unwarranted access to manuscripts submitted to IJPR, we follow a strict embargo policy. The press and the public do not have access to manuscripts until they are published, and every reasonable measure is taken to ensure reviewers honor their commitment to confidentiality.

IJPR does not accept responsibility for any breach of confidentiality by a reviewer, editorial board member, or corresponding author prior to publication, though appropriate action will be initiated against the responsible party. If a manuscript is released to the public or the press before publication in breach of confidentiality, the journal may decline to publish it even after acceptance — though it may still be presented at a conference or seminar, provided it is properly cited to IJPR. We support discussion of a particular manuscript among researchers or the news media during the embargo period, but authors must take care not to reveal complete data, the complete manuscript, or otherwise jeopardize the journal's claim to first publication.

If the journal chooses to make a press release or other publicity, the information will be given to the authors concerned, and their details may also be shared with press personnel or displayed publicly. Where litigation or unethical practice by an author is established, IJPR reserves the right to publish details of that unethical practice together with the author's details.

Responsibilities of the Authors

The same guarantee of confidentiality is expected from authors. An author should not release a paper, any part of a paper, or its key findings to the press or for public access before publication; if this occurs, the author must cite that the full paper is under press with IJPR. From the time of submission until rejection or publication, authors should avoid sharing manuscript details with the public or the press. Where information about a manuscript is shared by the author — in an interview or any other written or oral communication, including on a website, forum, or blog — it should be withheld from publication until the press embargo date.

Failure to adhere to this rule is treated as a violation of the journal's embargo policy, which remains in force until the embargo is lifted and an "early version view / forthcoming issue" listing is published. Authors may discuss their work with peers, but not to the extent that the unpublished manuscript, in whole or in part, becomes available in the media or to the public ahead of full publication. This restriction is lifted only after publication in IJPR, after which the author may post the work elsewhere provided due citation requirements are fulfilled.

IJPR does not accept accountability for the contents of published articles; such liability lies solely with the author(s). The opinions expressed in articles are exclusively those of the author(s), and IJPR may not agree with them in part or in full. All articles submitted for publication are peer-reviewed for originality, ethical soundness, and effectiveness, and the decision of the reviewers is final. Authors are solely responsible for the uniqueness of their published work, and IJPR advocates the highest ethical standards of scientific publication.

Online Corrections

The version of an article published online is considered the final and complete version. Although it is possible to correct this version, our policy — in common with other publishers — is not to do so except in very limited circumstances, and only within 30 days of online publication. We are able to correct typographical errors in author names, affiliations, article titles, abstracts, and keywords; in such cases an erratum or corrigendum is also published, so there is a clear record explaining the difference between the online and print versions.

We can publish a correction to an article where there is a serious error — for example, one affecting scientific accuracy, or the reputation of the author or the journal. We do not publish corrections that do not materially affect the contribution, or that would not significantly impair a reader's understanding (such as a spelling mistake or a grammatical error). Errata

An erratum is used where an important error has been introduced during the production of a journal article — one that affects the publication record, the scientific integrity of the paper, or the reputation of the authors or the journal — including errors of omission, such as a failure to make factual proof corrections requested by authors within the deadline provided by the journal.

We do not publish errata for typing errors, except where an apparently minor error is in fact significant (for example, an incorrect unit). A significant error in a figure or table is corrected by publishing a new, corrected figure or table as an erratum; the figure or table itself is republished only where the editor considers it necessary.

Shipping & Delivery Policy

Only articles submitted to the editor online or offline with the final copy and copyright form are published online, or scheduled for a publication issue as desired by the corresponding author. IJPR issues hard copies on subscription, subject to availability, dispatched within 2–3 weeks from the date of online publication.

A published article remains online unless a copyright claim or plagiarism claim is proven against it, in which case it is removed from the IJPR website and all indexing services without prior notice to the corresponding author. IJPR does not print, courier, or post hard copies of certificates — the corresponding author receives only an e-certificate (PDF) at their registered email address.

Waiver Policy

Article Processing Charges (APC) are kept very nominal, and there is no general full or partial waiver of fees. The journal may, however, offer a partial waiver to the student community to encourage younger researchers, on submission of a written request accompanied by valid supporting proof — such as a bonafide certificate from the head of the institution or department, and an economic-status certificate where applicable.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

No cancellations or refunds are issued once payment has been made for publication in IJPR.

Publisher Partner

IJPR is run by IMED Research Publications, dedicated to encouraging research in the field of medical and health sciences. IMED Research Publications is responsible for the processing and publication of manuscripts and for maintaining the website, under the guidance of the Editor-in-Chief.
