Digital Archiving

International Journal of Anatomy and Research (IJAR) deposits all published content in the PORTICO system as a long-term digital archiving facility. PORTICO ensures the permanent preservation and survival of Web-based scholarly publications. Published articles remain digitally available forever for free under a Creative Commons International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Portico, a not-for-profit digital preservation service, is among the largest community-supported digital archives in the world. Working with libraries and publishers, Portico preserves e-journals, e-books, and other electronic scholarly content to ensure researchers and students maintain access into the future.

Content is preserved as an archival version and is not publicly accessible via Portico during normal operations, but is triggered and provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the publication collection or catastrophic failure of the journal website.

Responsibilities of the Journal

In order to ensure that there is no unwarranted public access to manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Anatomy and Research (IJAR), we follow a strict press embargo policy. The press or public will not have access to submitted manuscripts until they are officially published online. All possible measures are taken to ensure reviewers honor their promise of strict confidentiality.

International Journal of Anatomy and Research (IJAR) does not accept legal liability for any breach of confidentiality by a reviewer, editorial board member, or corresponding author prior to publication, but necessary disciplinary and ethical action will be initiated against offending parties.

If a manuscript is released for public access or to the media before publication through a breach of confidentiality, the Journal may cancel publication of even an accepted manuscript. Research findings may be presented at scientific conferences or seminars provided proper citation and reference to our journal is disclosed. We support academic discussion among scientists and news media during the embargo period, provided complete data or full manuscript texts are not disclosed prior to publication. If the Journal releases a press announcement, details will be coordinated with the authors.

Responsibilities of the Authors

Authors are expected to maintain an equivalent guarantee of confidentiality. Authors must not release a paper, its key findings, or major data portions to the press or public prior to publication. If findings are discussed in interviews or online forums, authors must cite that the full paper is in press with IJAR.

Authors may discuss research with scientific peers, but must not disclose findings to media to an extent that compromises the novelty or publication record of the paper. This embargo restriction is lifted upon official online publication, after which authors may share and repost their work with proper citation.

Authors hold sole responsibility for the scientific opinions, originality, and validity of their published work. IJAR advocates the highest ethical standards in scientific publishing.

Online Corrections

The online version of an article is considered the final and complete record. Corrections to published papers are allowed only in limited circumstances (within 30 days of online publication) for minor typographical errors in author names, affiliations, titles, abstracts, or keywords. In such instances, a formal erratum or corrigendum is published to maintain a transparent record of differences between online and print versions.

Major factual errors affecting scientific accuracy or author reputation are corrected via formal published corrections. Corrections are not published for minor spelling or grammatical edits that do not alter scientific meaning. Contact editor_anatomy@ijmhr.org for correction requests.

Errata

An erratum is published when significant production errors are introduced during layout or typesetting that affect scientific integrity or factual accuracy. Significant errors in figures or tables are corrected by publishing a corrected replacement figure or table as an erratum.

Shipping & Delivery Policy

Articles submitted online with completed copyright forms are published online on the scheduled publication date. Hard copies of journal issues are provided upon subscription (subject to availability) and dispatched within 2–3 weeks of online publication. PDF e-certificates are emailed directly to corresponding authors.

Disclaimer Policy

Content on this website is provided for educational and scientific purposes. While IJAR strives for accuracy, no warranties (express or implied) are made regarding completeness or availability. Reliance on website content is at the user's risk. External website links do not imply endorsement of third-party content.

Waiver Policy

Article Processing Charges (APC) are nominal and non-refundable. Partial waivers may be considered for student researchers and authors from low-income institutions upon written request accompanied by a valid Bonafide Certificate from their department head.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

No cancellations or refunds are issued once publication fees have been processed for an accepted manuscript.
